Supporting ‘Change a Girl’s Life’ with Freya Rose

Supporting ‘Change a Girl’s Life’ with Freya Rose

On Friday, 15th November, we proudly sponsored the Freya Rose Gala for the second consecutive year. Held in aid of The King’s Trust ‘Change a Girl’s Life’ initiative, the event was an inspiring celebration of empowerment and opportunity. This incredible initiative supports young women facing challenging circumstances. It helps them gain the skills, resources, and confidence to build brighter futures. As such, supporting Change A Girl’s Life resonates particularly deeply with us. After all, we believe in creating opportunities that truly transform lives.

The Magnificent Balloon Game

Once again, we brought our magnificent balloon game to the gala, adding an element of fun while raising funds and awareness for this vital charity. The game was a highlight of the evening, demonstrating how small actions can make a big difference. It was wonderful to see so many attendees engaging with the game, all in support of the ‘Change a Girl’s Life’ initiative.

Andrea Todorov’s Inspiring Words

Andrea Todorov, who leads our Hampshire office, spoke passionately about the importance of supporting initiatives like this:

“Supporting The King’s Trust’s Change a Girl’s Life Initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to give back to the communities we serve. We believe in creating opportunities, whether it’s empowering businesses through our advisory services or helping young women take control of their futures. It’s an honour to be part of this incredible event, which reflects our company’s values of connection, empowerment, and making a meaningful impact.”

Looking Ahead

The Freya Rose Gala brought together businesses and individuals united by the desire to create lasting change. We’re honoured to have played a role in supporting such a meaningful cause. The ‘Change a Girl’s Life’ initiative perfectly reflects our core values of empowerment and community impact.

We look forward to continuing our support for this remarkable charity and doing our part to empower young women everywhere.

Supporting a Vital Charity: Our Team Takes on the Great South Run for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance

At Lewis Brownlee, we’re proud to support charity efforts that truly make a difference in our community. This year, we’re excited to take on the Great South Run. Our goal is to raise funds for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, a local charity that plays an essential role in saving lives across our region.

Why We’re Running for Charity

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance provides a life-saving service, operating 365 days a year. Their Critical Care Team responds to emergencies like road accidents or medical crises. They deliver expert care directly at the scene when every second counts.

Our team is inspired by the important work this charity does. On Saturday 19th October, Sarah, Mel, Christian, and Jayne will take on the 5k run. On Sunday 20th October, Tom, Daren, James D, Toby, Steven, and Freddie will face the main 10-mile event. They’ll be pushing themselves to go the extra mile for this vital cause! Every step we take supports their mission, and we’d love your help in reaching our fundraising goal.

How You Can Help

We’re asking our clients, colleagues, and community to support this wonderful charity. Any donation, large or small, will make a real difference to those in need of urgent care. To donate, please visit our fundraising page:

Additionally, it would mean a lot if you could share our fundraising efforts with your friends and family. Together, we can make a significant impact and help save lives across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Why Community Support Matters!

Why Community Support Matters!

At Lewis Brownlee, community support is more than just a core value—it’s a commitment to making a lasting impact. We understand that while we can’t help everyone, we strive to make a difference where we can. Recently, we had the pleasure of helping Park Gate County Primary School with their fundraising efforts for a new play area. This experience reinforced an important lesson for businesses: no matter the size of your contribution, supporting your community is an essential part of thriving within it.

Getting Involved

We were thrilled when Park Gate County Primary School reached out to us with their fundraising idea. We always love to hear what people are doing and welcome any opportunity to make meaningful change. As a firm that values community support, we knew we wanted to help and everyone agreed that it would be a privilege to be part of a project that will benefit so many children in the years to come.

The Impact of Community Support

Supporting local projects like this isn’t just about giving money; it’s about investing in the future. We believe that by creating spaces where children can play, learn, and develop, we are helping to nurture the next generation of leaders. Who knows? Perhaps some of the children enjoying the new play area will grow up to be accountants, entrepreneurs, or community leaders!

Our Commitment to Ongoing Community Support

This contribution to Park Gate County Primary School is just one example of how we like to get involved. Community support is something we actively seek out, and we encourage others to do the same. It’s not always about the size of the contribution, but about the difference it makes.

Encouraging Other Businesses to Embrace Community Support

So, as we reflect on our involvement with Park Gate County Primary School, we encourage other businesses to consider their own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) missions. Whether large or small, every business has the potential to make a positive impact on their community.

It’s not about the size of the contribution, but the commitment to making a difference. By asking ourselves how we can support those around us, we unlock opportunities to create meaningful change. Whether through time, resources, or expertise, there’s always something we can do to help.

So, as you look to your own CSR goals, think about the ways you can contribute to the greater good. Every action, no matter how small, can have a lasting impact. So, have a think today and let’s celebrate those opportunities that come our way to make a difference that counts!

Supporting Local Education

Supporting Local Education

At Lewis Brownlee, we take pride in supporting local education. So, our participation in the recent Bishop Luffa School interviews was a priority for us. Engaging with the community is a cornerstone of our values, and by contributing to the development of young talent, we aim to make a lasting impact.

Why Supporting Local Education Matters

Our involvement in the interviews reflects our commitment to supporting local education. This programme is more than just an exercise for the students. It’s a real-world experience that helps prepare them for the challenges of the professional world. The chance to engage with Year 10 students in a setting that mirrors actual job interviews is invaluable for their personal development. We believe that when we support local education, we are investing in the future of our community.

Our Role in the Interview Programme

Participating in the Bishop Luffa School interviews allowed us to offer practical advice and feedback to the students. We know that the first interview a student has shouldn’t be the one that determines their future. By providing mock interviews, we help students understand what to expect in a real interview setting. This initiative, organised in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory, ensures that each student receives individual attention and constructive feedback.

At Lewis Brownlee, supporting local education isn’t just about showing up; it’s about making a meaningful contribution. The effort we put into these interviews reflects our dedication to giving back to the community that supports us. So, over two days, we joined other industry professionals to interview 215 students, offering them the insights they need to succeed in future interviews.

Giving Back to the Community

Supporting local education is just one way we give back to our community. At Lewis Brownlee, we understand the importance of nurturing young talent and providing opportunities for growth. These mock interviews are a tangible way we can contribute to the personal and professional development of the next generation.

We are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to continuing our support for local education in the future. By participating in programmes like these, we ensure that our community thrives, and our young people are prepared for the challenges ahead. We whole-heartedly wish them all the best for the future!

Building Resilience: The Key to Thriving in Challenging Times

Building Resilience: The Key to Thriving in Challenging Times

For those of you unfamiliar with our Quest mission, Summer is always fun for us here at Lewis Brownlee. Encompassing our core values of Quality, Enthusiasm, Smart Working and Team work, our Quest ensures we deliver! That’s why we punctuate the year with quarterly get togethers to press our mission forward. So, we are excited to bring you news of our Summer session! This time it centred around the theme of building resilience!

Indeed, the importance of building resilience in today’s fast-paced business world cannot be overstated. It is a crucial skill that empowers us to adapt, overcome adversity, and emerge stronger from challenges.

The Importance of Resilience in Our Strategy

At the heart of our Quest strategy is the desire to boost positivity and maintain high team morale. So ensuring that every voice gets heard is extremely important to us. Our Quest sessions then take the form of fun, vibrant get togethers that encourage collaboration and teamwork.

These sessions are more than just opportunities to learn. They are vital moments for us to come together, share experiences, and support one another. So, the focus on building resilience in our Summer session was particularly significant. It aligned perfectly with our ongoing efforts to create a robust and adaptable team!

The theme of resilience was not chosen by chance. In an ever-changing business environment, resilience is what enables us to stay ahead, navigate through uncertainties, and turn potential setbacks into opportunities. By dedicating time to discuss and develop this essential skill, we hoped to invest in our collective ability to thrive, no matter what challenges we face.

Key Takeaways from Rich Riley’s Insightful Talk

We were privileged to have Rich Riley as our guest speaker, whose insights on building resilience left a lasting impact. Rich highlighted several strategies that are instrumental in fostering resilience:

  • Maintaining a Positive Outlook: Staying optimistic, even in the face of difficulties, helps to build the mental strength needed to overcome obstacles.
  • Fostering Strong Support Networks: The importance of surrounding ourselves with supportive colleagues and friends cannot be underestimated. These networks provide encouragement and a sense of belonging during tough times.
  • Continuous Development: Resilience is closely linked to our ability to keep growing. By continuously developing our skills and capabilities, we equip ourselves to handle challenges more effectively.

Rich’s talk reminded us that building resilience is not just about bouncing back from setbacks but also about pushing forward with greater strength and purpose. This perspective is vital for both personal and professional growth, reinforcing the idea that challenges can be stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks.

Why Our Quest Sessions Matter

Quest sessions like this one are integral to our success as a team and as an organisation. They offer us the chance to learn from one another, share valuable insights, and strengthen our bonds. By focusing on themes like building resilience, we ensure that our team is not only prepared to face challenges but is also inspired to turn those challenges into opportunities for growth.

So, there we have it! Our Quest session on building resilience was not just a learning experience; it was a powerful reminder of why resilience is so critical in today’s world. So, as we move forward, you can be assured the Lewis Brownlee team will continue to embrace resilience, support one another, and strive to grow stronger together!

Do enjoy some of our pictures from the day! As you can see, we had a lot of fun! 😉
