Lewis Brownlee raised awareness for World Down Syndrome Day

Lewis Brownlee raised awareness for World Down Syndrome Day on Monday 21st March by the staff wearing lots of socks!

There was also a cake sale to raise funds for Chichester Down Syndrome Support Group.

Having a baby with Down Syndrome can happen to any parent and is caused by the presence of an extra chromosome in the baby’s cells. Around one in every 1,000 babies born in the UK have Down Syndrome, and approximately 40,000 people in the UK have it.

Kay Forshaw’s nephew Bradley. Bradley is now 12 but tiny, and still has medical issues but is doing well. He is beginning to speak and has just learnt her name!
