Cycle Chartres 2016!
It’s that time of year again!!
With the May Day Bank Holiday fast approaching, a team from Lewis Brownlee will be taking part in the annual Cycle Chartres event!
The riders will be troubling the good people of Northern France, by cycling about a bit, whilst raising money for the Rotary Club of Chichester Harbour – with the main charity beneficiary being Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The first day – Friday 29th April – is a (relatively) quick ride from Chichester to Portsmouth to catch the ferry to Caen/Ouistreham – the riders will set off from The Assembly Rooms in North Street if you’d like to wave them off!
Our very own Sarah Alexander will be marshalling this day and sponging down any struggling riders!
The second day is a more challenging 90 mile ride from Caen to Evreux, and the final day is a (comparatively leisurely) ride of about 60 miles into the cathedral city of Chartres.
