Corporate & Social Responsibility

Lighting the Way for Why Corporate and Social Responsibility Counts.

Making a difference that really counts…

At our heart, we are a company committed to ethical practices, sustainability, and fairness. And, to us, that’s not just in our business operations. It’s in every interaction – both with our staff and clients alike. Our approach to Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) is then not just a box-ticking exercise. It’s a core part of who we are. We listen intently to what matters to our team, and this shapes our CSR initiatives, ensuring they are deeply meaningful and impactful.

We pride ourselves on having a dynamic, staff-led approach to CSR. Each of our offices takes the lead on a specific area of our CSR programme that is then championed by the passions and concerns of our team members. This strategy fosters a culture of collaboration and shared purpose across the entire company.

So, whether it’s championing green initiatives, supporting local communities, or ensuring workplace inclusivity, our focus areas are a reflection of what our people find most important. This approach not only strengthens our team but also ensures we’re making a real difference in areas that resonate in the communities we serve!

Our latest initiatives…

The New Charities SORP - Free seminars November and December

THE NEW CHARITIES SORP - FREE SEMINARS THIS NOVEMBER & DECEMBER

We are delighted to be hosting a series of free seminars this November and December to support the charity sector as it prepares for the upcoming Charities SORP changes. These sessions reflect our commitment to empowering trustees and finance teams with the knowledge they need to navigate significant updates around leases, revenue recognition, and Trustees’ reporting.

Helping charities to stay ahead of these changes aligns perfectly with our ethos of building confidence, clarity, and stronger futures for organisations that make such a vital impact in our communities. With expert guidance and dedicated Q&A time, our seminars are designed to ensure charities feel supported and ready for 2026.

It is a privilege to play a part in strengthening the third sector, and we look forward to welcoming trustees, finance teams, and charity leaders to these important events.

Midhurst Jazz Festival

Midhurst Jazz, Food & Blues Festival

We are delighted to be sponsoring the upcoming Midhurst Jazz, Food & Blues Festival, a three-day celebration of music, culture, and community spirit. Taking place from 14th–16th November, the festival will bring together talented performers and music lovers for a vibrant programme that showcases the very best of jazz.

Supporting events like this reflects our commitment to investing in the communities we serve – creating opportunities for people to come together, enjoy world-class performances, and celebrate the arts in the heart of Midhurst.

We’re proud to play a part in bringing such an inspiring festival to life and look forward to seeing the town filled with music, energy, and connection.

A Wonderful Evening at Madhurst

We were proud to sponsor the recent performance by the Forza Tenor Duo with Guest Soprano at the Madhurst Festival – an unforgettable night of artistry, powerful harmonies, and the magic of live performance in the heart of Midhurst.

The event was more than just world-class music – it was a celebration of culture, creativity, and community spirit, bringing people together in a truly special way. Supporting moments like this reflects our commitment to enriching the communities we are part of and helping the arts to thrive locally.

It was a privilege to play a role in such a memorable evening, and we look forward to supporting more inspiring events in the future.

Shining a Light

Tree-mendous Accounting

We’ve successfully supplied our first batch of Lewis Brownlee Trees to the Manhood Wildlife and Heritage Trust! Our partnership with this local group isn’t just about donating trees either. It’s about getting our hands dirty for a great cause. We now have the wonderful opportunity to plant these trees in our local area. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our efforts directly contributing to the local environment. The best part? We are already well on the way to providing our next batch! It’s actions like these that make a real difference! Here’s to growing greener and stronger, one tree at a time!

⛳️ Connecting Over Clubs – For a Cause 🌍

We took part in the recent Charity Golf Day at Cowdray, hosted by the Rotary Club of Midhurst and Petworth. The event was a fantastic opportunity to bring local businesses and organisations together in support of two remarkable causes:

  • 💚 Midhurst Palliative Care, backing vital services delivered through the local Macmillan team.

  • 💧 Rotary Tools Out of the Barrel, providing 700 life-saving water barrels to deprived communities in Kenya.

It was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful day. Plus, we got to combine teamwork, community spirit, and support for initiatives that make a real difference both locally and globally. A huge thank you to the organisers and fellow players for an inspiring event.

Chichester & Bognor Regis Business Awards

We had the pleasure of attending the Chichester and Bognor Regis Business Awards. It was an inspiring evening filled with energy, connections, and celebration of local enterprise. A big thank you to the Chichester Chamber of Commerce for hosting such an entertaining and uplifting event. It truly showcased the passion and innovation within our business community.

We were especially proud to see our Director, Jayne Tressler FCCA ACA, present the Digital Excellence Award. Here’s extending our warm congratulations to Wotter on a well-deserved win!

Life Saving Skills with Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance

We were joined by Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance for the afternoon!

They covered practical CPR and defibrillator skills, equipping staff with the confidence to respond in emergencies. We also had a go at their realistic flight simulator experience simulating air ambulance operations!

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HAAIOW) team  shared powerful testimonials from real-life rescues. And, they highlighted ways to get involved in fundraising and upcoming events. So, we have lots of ideas on organising company-wide initiatives for even greater impact.

St Wilfrid Hospice Chichester - Tom Foster leads panel of experts

Supporting St Wilfrid’s Hospice Chichester

We have proudly taken part in St Wilfrid’s Hospice Chichester Financial Wellbeing event at Chichester Golf Club.  It was an engaging session exploring two of life’s certainties, death and taxes.

Our very own Tom Foster joined the panel to share insights on tax planning. Joining him was Ursula Watt from George Ide LLP, who focused on wills and probate.

The event highlighted the importance of planning ahead. It covered everything from understanding inheritance tax to making charitable gifts more tax efficient, or simply ensuring you have a will in place. With 60% of people currently without one, these discussions are more relevant than ever.

We’d like to thank Bryan Robinson, St Wilfrid’s Gifts in Will Officer, for organising such an informative and thought-provoking session. Events like this not only raise awareness but also help local people make confident decisions for their families and the causes they care about.

Welcoming diversity and nurturing inclusivity…
